Oftentimes it can be so easy to take parts of our life, and our health, for granted.
To expect our health to always stay the same.
To expect our homes to stay in ship shape.
To expect our kids to remember their manners once they seem to have them down pat.
To expect our relationships once in place stay as happy as can be without upkeep.
Sadly... that's hardly the case.
Sometimes the simplest gestures of gratitude can be all it takes to help reinforce those things though. Simply being grateful when your child behaves as you would like, and showing them you are grateful and appreciative. This can serve as a loving reminder.
Or reaching out to that friend you haven't seen in a while and letting them know something about them that you are so grateful for. They may remember that random kindness and gratitude just when they need uplifting most.
Even remembering to be grateful for the roof over your head and remembering to do the simple things to keep it maintained.
With the Season of Thankfulness upon us, what better time than to count our blessings than now!!
For the week leading up to Thanksgiving I will share things I am thankful for each day, and invite you to do the same!
